Profile Summary

Dr David Kreps, former Director of Information Systems, Organisations and Society Research Centre (ISOS) 2009-12, is an 'early adopter', pioneering thinker and commentator, with a fascination for technology and its impact upon society. A web developer since 1995, (making probably the first Arts Centre Website in the UK) he did his PhD thesis on Cyborgism, and has become an expert in Web Accessibility, and explorer into the philosophy of Virtuality, and Cultural Identity in the Socially Networked society.

Key Qualifications
1994
I undertook this degree after some years as an Actor/Manager of my own theatre companies, and as Artistic Director of the Glastonbury Assembly Rooms. Following this qualification I became Director of Tamworth, and then Portsmouth Arts Centre, as a Local Authority Arts Officer.
1998
I undertook this MA part time whilst Director at Tamworth Arts Centre, specialising in Cybersociety
2003
Entitled "CYBORGS: Cyborgism, Performance and Society," my thesis brought the sociology of technology, performance studies, disability studies, and Bergsonian philosophy and post-structuralism into a heady mix of cyberpunk fiction and film, interviews with performance artists and neuro-prostheticians, disability arts practitioners and the exoskeletal ambitions of the US Department of Defence.
