Angelina has over 20 years of clinical and management knowledge and experience inlcuding staff nurse, sister, ward manger, community practitioner and community team manager postions. Angelina's cllinical roles inlcude adult general nursing, acute inpatient, older people and community practitioner roles within the field of mental health. Later in her career developing within the field of education as a training manager within an NHS Mental Health Trust, before moving in to higher education teaching, as a nurse lecturer.
Angelina is currently a module leader within the pre-registration degree nursing programme. She teaches on both pre-registration and post qualifying programmes with her teaching remit extending to topics inlcuding management and leadership, health promotion and mental health with a focus on the physical health issues for patients with severe mental health problems. Angelina is also developing her specialist interest area of physical health illness recognition, understanding and management of patients with physical illnesses and mental health problems through her teaching and utilisation of human patient simulators (high fidelity simulation) within pre-registration mental health nurse education.
A workshop coevring first aid interventions for those with wounds caused through self harm or accident.
