Profile Summary

Alex McDonagh is a lecturer in Critical and Contextual Studies at the University of Salford. His research interests are broadly based in heritage and the visual representation of culture, with particular focus on the ways that heritage and culture are formed in everyday and subaltern contexts.

In addition to this, his recent PhD work explores the ways that we communicate phenomenological aspects of our heritage environments, illuminating how digital media may affect the perception or agency of dominant cultural discourses.
