Jonathan is Director of civil engineering. He spent 18 years in industry designing and constructing infrastructure such as moving bridges, framed multi-storey buildings and power station structures; before moving into academia. His research interests include improving the understanding of structural behaviour and repairing masonry arch bridges. Jonathan is a Reader in engineering education.
