Biography –Karen Holland
 
Karen  is Editor of an international nurse education journal Nurse Education in Practice ( An Elsevier publication) and is author of  three published books( one translated into Japanese ). She is currently Series Editor of a new series of books for Oxford University Press and is undertaking a similar role for Elsevier ,in addition to co-authoring one of the books in the series. She has a specific research interest in partnership working, practice development and curriculum innovations and has undertaken and led a number of research projects and development work in these fields . She is totally committed to ensuring the quality of the student learning experience and to ensuring that nursing education has a rigorous evidence- base.
She is a member of the international Content Selection & Advisory Board ( CSAB ) for SCOPUS ( Elsevier ) where she is one of the 14 Subject Chairs .(Nursing/ Health Professions ). This role involves evaluation of all journals submitted to the subject field for inclusion in the SCOPUS database.
