Key Qualifications
Military Background 2002- 2004 Retired from US Army Reserve as Lieutenant Colonel, last assignment as faculty instructor US Army War College, where I taught courses on strategy and defense policy in the summer term. From 2002 to 2004 produced special studies relating to the Coalition occupation of Iraq. In 2004 assigned to the Coalition Military Training and Advisor Team (CMATT) in Baghdad and worked with the Iraqi forces to develop their army and air force organization. 1977-2002 Served a total of six years on active duty in the US Army in the US, Germany and Central America. In 1977-78 served as an intelligence officer in Germany. Involved in counterterrorism and conducted liaison with the German Police and Bundeswehr. Served for 22 years as a Reserve officer and reached the rank of lieutenant colonel. Awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (2X) and Army Commendation Medal.
