Profile Summary

Laura is a Lecturer in Criminology. Previous research has explored: the nature and extent of violence against sex workers; the working-conditions and wellbeing of internet-sex workers; and the governance of sex trafficking in England and Wales. There is a strong social justice element to Laura’s work, which centres in particular on improving the safety of sex workers and the rights of migrant sex workers. Her research interests are broad but include: the sex industry, migration, policing, governance and victimology.
