BIOGRAPHY

I joined the University of Salford in September 2014 as a part time hourly paid tutor and then joined the team as a lecturer in January 2015 and now work full time at the University and have a small private practice outside of the University.  I worked in secondary schools as a school counsellor for 15 years and in my private practice I work with young people and adults. 

TEACHING

I currently teach on the BSc Counselling & Psychotherapy (Professional Practice) and the MSc Counselling & Psychotherapy.

  • Core conditions through embodiment
  • Creative counselling
  • Supervision

 

RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research interests include:

  • Working with English as an additional language
  • Domestic violence and empowerment through creativity
  • Embodiment of emotions
  • Action research
