M.E.Alston BA[hons] Dip ARB, Lecturer in Architecture + Construction Technology, qualified as an architect in 1992. He was engaged in many
high profile projects from Museums, monasteries, high rise occupancy buildings, to regenerate city programmes, to encapsulate new technological advances
in prefabrication and energy driven design. In 2007 he joined the University of Nottingham, as lecturer of architecture and sustainable urban design and in 2009 joined the University of Salford.
His latest research activity in 2010 engaged him in developing a new form of personal transportation system for British Airport Authority's London Heathrow Terminal 5 project. He is an assessor for the Technology Strategy Board's, UK Low Carbon Design Solutions R+D programme.
PhD is on going and research was published by the RIBA 'A' magazine in September 2010
