 Richard Hewett is Lecturer in Media Theory at the University of Salford's School of Arts and Media. His research interests include television aesthetics, and the changing determinants of acting style in television drama, which he has researched via a combination of textual analysis, archive research, reception studies and original interviews with practitioners. Future areas of research include developments in performing and directing for UK sitcom.
