Profile Summary

I joined the University after working as an occupational therapist in the fields of mental health and learning disabilities. I am  a Senior Lecturer in the Directorate of Occupational Therapy, teaching on undergraduate & postgraduate programmes. I am also Interim Director (job share) and Directorate's Business Champion. I have expertise in programme development, with involvement in both educational & clinical inter-disciplinary initiatives. 

My skills in assessing and treating a range of mental health conditions that impact on all aspects of function, including work, is utilised within the University's Wellness Works service, through the delivery of 1:1 assessments / interventions, CPD courses & service evaluation. I have particular expertise in stress & disability management and enabling individual’s to develop the coping strategies and skills to sustain emotional and mental wellbeing, productivity and function.

I have interests in the fields of social prescription, loneliness, carers, vocational rehabilitation and service evaluation.
