Profile Summary

I qualified as an occupational therapist from Liverpool in 1980 and worked for 21 years within the NHS and charitable sectors and also for the Ministry of Defence. I specialised in physical rehabilitation (burns, orthopaedics, rheumatology, hand therapy) and latterly in palliative care before joining the University of Salford in 2001. I became a senior lecturer in 2008 and have been the directorate's placement tutor since 2005. I teach on the BSc Occupational Therapy programme and supervise MSc student dissertations.

My  interests include placement learning, rheumatology and palliative care.
