Profile Summary

Alex Fenton is a Lecturer in Digital Business for Salford Business School. He teaches in the area of Search and Social Media Marketing, digital business, web development and digital innovation. He is currently undertaking research in the area of digital business and football.

Alex has worked as a web and senior developer since graduating with a BSc Hons from Bradford University in 1997. Alex previously run a digital development company at the University of Salford called EDinteractive which is now FP2B and a creative showcase for over 1000 students at and an Annual conference at MediaCityUK called Creative Entrepreneur.

In 2011 Alex completed an MA Creative Technology at the University of Salford and presented full papers at the Education in a Changing Environment conference at the University of Salford and The PLE Conference at the University of Southampton. Alex joined Salford Business School and the  Research centre for Digital Business in 2013. Alex teaches in the area of digital literacy, search and social media marketing (CPD) . In 2014, Alex started a PhD in digital marketing and Football, studying Salford City FC. He is also supporting the WOMMEN project at Salford University.
